When did your family last slow down together, on purpose?
WHAT IS HEARTHSIDE?
How does an afternoon at home become an heirloom?
A family gathers at the estate — multiple generations, briefly in the same place. Hearthside makes it one they’ll treasure. By intention, for this specific family, with their hands, in the place they love.
Inside that afternoon, Hearthside creates a chrysalis: a private, held space where families can be present with each other in a way that daily life rarely allows. A skilled facilitator awakens the family's stories, impressions, and values. Every generation contributing. Whatever shape or makeup this family takes, the afternoon is theirs. What surfaces belongs entirely to this family and becomes the seed of everything that follows. And then the making begins, hands busy, generations side by side. The room alive with something that has no name but this family knows.
This is the afternoon they will always remember. Not what they made. Who they were while making it.
The afternoon is the heirloom.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
The language ahead will keep evolving. What's fixed at this stage is the idea — and that's what your reaction can actually help test.
As you read, five questions are worth holding loosely in mind more than any single sentence:
The full questions are waiting at the end, once you've seen the whole picture. Your honest reaction matters more than your encouragement — or your red pen. 😉
THE INSIGHT
One thing they cannot buy is an afternoon like this.
The families Hearthside serves built their lives by making things — companies, institutions, legacies. That identity doesn't retire. It lives at the dinner table, at the summer estate, in every room where the people they built everything for are gathered together.
The act of making is what they know. Slowing down, being fully present for what is happening as it happens, is harder. But the moments that stay, the ones that play in the mind in slow motion decades later, are never the busy ones. Hearthside exists to manifest those moments.
That is what Hearthside alone delivers.
Two sets of hands. One motion. Something made together that neither could have made alone.
THE DIFFERENCE
Other services preserve a family's legacy on their behalf. Archivists restore photographs. Ghostwriters interview the family. Filmmakers produce a documentary. All of it produced for the family — by professionals, delivered as a finished product.
Hearthside does something different. A skilled facilitator gives the family the tools and the space to design and make something together that is entirely theirs — in real time, with their own hands, from their own stories. No ghostwriter. No film crew. No consultant's report.
What a family makes together no one can make for them.
The Discovery Arc
Every family has experienced it. One person says something. Someone else plays off it. Another adds on. An idea, a memory, a story gathers momentum — and suddenly the whole room is inside it together. Something shared emerges that no one could have planned walking in. The Discovery Arc, in the hands of the skilled Hearthside facilitator, is how it happens.
This doesn't feel like an interview. It feels like the best conversation this family has had in years — the kind that usually only happens by accident, sometimes late at night, sometimes on a long car ride. The facilitator asks one real question and then does the harder thing: listens. Following the thread, never a script. Lets a silence sit if a silence is where the truth is. A grandfather says something he's never said before. The teenager who wasn't going to say much says the thing that makes everyone burst into laughter. Nobody is performing. Everyone is present, and the whole thing is easy, and full of joy.
From that conversation, a design begins to take shape. Words, symbols, colors, and themes emerge — the living ingredients that could only have come from this family. The facilitator listens, gathers, and guides it toward form. This is not improvisation. It is a practiced art.
Without the Discovery Arc, hands would still be busy. Something would still get made. But not this — not something that could only have come from this family, on this afternoon.
The Experience
An heirloom only this family can make, together.
Before the family gathers, Hearthside prepares the space. Design-forward furnishings, warm amber lighting, ambient soundtrack, premium materials. Guests arrive to find the afternoon already different — poised, intentional, beckoning.
A gentle, skilled conversation surfaces what the family most wants to say, in their own words. Every generation contributes. No script. Only this family.
Guided making, shaped by The Discovery Arc. Hearthside captures photo and video throughout. Hands are busy. The room is alive. Something lasting is being made.
A curated photo gallery. A short cinematic video of the session. Both delivered within five days, ready for sharing.
The Hearthside facilitator is a maker first and genuinely gifted with people. At ease with every generation, personality, and ability. Warm without performing it. Trained specifically to hold the space where families do their best work, together.
WHAT FAMILIES MAKE TOGETHER
Shaped from their own words, stories, and making.
Materials do not make an heirloom. Hands make heirlooms. The hands and intentions and moments. When a family makes something together — minds present, attention given, effort focused — that presence lives in the object itself. It is why some things are kept for generations and others are not. The making leaves a mark the heart can see.
At the close of the afternoon, the family has made an object from their collective life. The spirit of the afternoon lives in it. They feel its significance. They feel their own. Something has opened between them — quietly, without effort, the way the best things do. This togetherness is the heirloom from the day.
A recipe. A family motto. A phrase that has always been true. The family illuminates it with the symbols, colors, and shapes that honor what it says and declare that it matters. Gold leaf and archival ink on Crane paper. Mounted in a hardwood frame. An heirloom.
An heirloom from the land to this family. Fresh botanicals gathered from the grounds, archival paper, and the quiet percussion of making. Simple enough for the smallest hands in the room. Before the flowers fade and the leaves turn, before this exact afternoon is only a memory, the family presses it into something that lasts. Not decoration. Evidence. Proof of a place that shaped this family.
The land provides the found objects. The family uses bamboo and copper to bind everything together with sacred knots — every hand in the room, learning, teaching, helping each other. Hung where the wind can play it.
A family's proclamation of what they value and share. The facilitator interprets the family's words, stories, and symbols through the lens of heraldic tradition. Made by hand on premium linen, hung where every estate guest will see it. It answers for anyone who this family is.
These are four of more than a dozen projects in the Hearthside catalog. Each is designed to produce something a family will keep for generations.
SIGNATURE RESERVE
Signature Reserve begins months before the session, with credentialed genealogy research that surfaces the family's specific lineage, symbols, and stories. The session itself is led by a master-level facilitator. What follows is an heirloom of exceptional depth — designed around this family's history alone, executed by a skilled craftsperson to archival standards. Pricing is reflective of the commission.
Signature Reserve includes experiences unavailable elsewhere in the Hearthside catalog. Time Capsule. The Repair. In Memoriam. Family Anthem. Each one designed for the moments in a family's life that ask for something more than making — something that heals, remembers, declares, or endures.
When delivered, it arrives with ceremony. A musician chosen to reflect the family's own heritage — a piper, a shofar, a talking drum, a brass fanfare. Sound travels outward in all directions simultaneously.
The family is not just telling themselves something. They are telling the world. They are more now.
THE MARKET
Global experiential luxury market — the fastest-growing spending category. Projected $598B by 2034. Altrata
Ultra-high net worth households are actively increasing experiential spending vs. goods. Bain / Altrata
The largest generational wealth transfer in recorded history is underway. $124T moving across generations through 2048. Bain
Women will inherit $100T of the wealth transfer. They already control more than half of US wealth. And that share is growing. Henley & Partners
The numbers point in the same direction: wealth is moving, and the families holding it are using it differently. The women now inheriting and controlling ultra-high net worth wealth are driven by meaning, connection, and multigenerational purpose. They are asking what their wealth stands for. What it passes on. Who the family is now.
What the numbers don't capture is the hunger for connection, for meaning, for the certainty of being a family that knows who it is.
Hearthside Studio gives them the answer the entire wealth management industry wants: an afternoon that makes something lasting, together, that defines and carries their values forward across generations.
The governance advisory industry, a $20B+ market, has formally documented this need. Hearthside is the experiential answer their clients have been waiting for.

THE FOUNDER
Returning three decades later to a question first asked as a scholar.
As an undergraduate, Tammy conducted graduate-level research on how values are formed and transmitted across generations — cross-cultural field research in Zimbabwe, the Czech Republic, and the United States. The finding: values transfer requires shared experiences. Shared moments doing something together, making something together.
For years, she has observed families at the moments when generations briefly gather — and what those moments so often lack. The intentionality. The structure. The permission to be fully present with each other. The wealth management industry has spent the last decade independently arriving at the same conclusion. Hearthside Studio is the experiential answer that market has been waiting for.
She brings to this business nearly 20 years of product leadership, prior ownership of a service business, degrees in Education and Psychology — and a lifelong practice of making things with her hands. She is the maker she is building for. She is not pitching a concept. She is delivering one.

THE PATH
Proof of concept by Summer 2027.
Hearthside launches with two vans, two markets, and two teams — each led by a lead facilitator and supported by an assistant facilitator. A single Supervisor serves the teams.
The Supervisor is a critical hire for Hearthside. Not because of their title, but because of their ethos. They invest in people because the people are the business. They see the development of every team member as a form of public service — a rising tide that lifts every family Hearthside will ever serve. They are devoted to the role of servant. Their title happens to be Supervisor.
The founder's role is not operational. She is building the system — the hiring framework, the training curriculum, the projects as a vehicle to an experience, the feedback loops, the relationships — that allows Hearthside to learn, grow, and hold its standards across every market it enters. The business does not depend on her presence in the field. It depends on the system she built to support it.
Advisor outreach underway. Estate manager and resort partnerships initiated. Curriculum privately tested. Early bookings accepted.
Two vans — Berkshires and Hamptons. Every system documented as transferable intellectual property from day one.
What Hearthside builds: a proven service model framework, a proprietary facilitation curriculum, a trained staff pipeline, and a brand in a category no one else has built.
